It is always super fun to go bowling with the VIVA members ~ mostly because they kick our butts at it! We have some seriously good bowlers in the group, with Kirk cleaning up the top spot.

Here are a few photos from the night which ended in far too many pizzas for us to reasonably handle and lots of good feelings all round… except for Timmy who lost his shoes!

Next week (friday 20th May) we will be back at the Newtown base and ‘Music Hannah’ will be taking us on a musical adventure… these nights are always fun and enlivening

As most of you will have heard already from the 15 members that came to camp last weekend – IT WAS A BLAST!!
We all had a really great time, we bonded, and it was a great way to start a new year together for the VIVA community.

I have attached on a new page here, a calendar of events for the first 6 months of this year – hopefully this will help you plan out your lives a little easier
Please feel free to print it out, share it around, email it to your friends etc.

As you will see on the calendar this coming friday the 25th, we are meeting at the Newtown base for a Pizza making night. We did this a couple of times last year and it was a real success - all the members seem to excel in the kitchen so it is fun letting them at it!

A $5 donation would be awesome each week, and I really look forward to seeing you all there on Friday!

We had a really super turn out for the ever popular bowling night – so thanks to everyone who came along and made it fun. We really do have some star bowlers at the club!

This week we are very excited to have an awesome music teacher come in to run an ABBA music workshop for everyone! We are going to play some tunes, learn about music and generally have a blast. Extra points for coming along dressed to sing to heart out to ABBA classics

In birthday news… Tessa is turning 19 on Thursday! Yay!

Unfortunately, I will not be at VIVA this friday but we will be in the trusty hands of Reidun, Hannah and Tyronne

Really enjoyed the crew that came along to Petone for dinner the other week – even got to light up a bunch of fireworks in the garden bar! Unfortunately the weather was pretty epic so we did not manage to get to the beach to watch the city fireworks

Another popular activity is coming up this week – we are going 10 pin bowling at STRIKE in Lower Hutt (www.strikenz.co.nz). This is the same place we went to earlier in the year so it should be pretty easy for everyone to find. Please spread the word around any Hutt valley DS friends that would like to come along and join in

Lets meet at 7pm and bring along $15 for the games… we will supply supper and drinks as per usual! Look forward to seeing you all.

We have finally got the new website running as the old one was on its last legs. This coming week we are going to be going out for dinner in Petone at a lovely restaurant (yet to be named). This will be a good chance to be out in the community together and enjoy some fine dining

Let’s meet at 7pm and make pick up a bit earlier, say 8.30pm. $10 would be awesome so that everyone has some money to make their own orders
